Just days after the devastating earthquake in Turkey, the Human Aid Initiative team was on the ground in the country’s south, delivering urgent humanitarian aid to those affected.
The team distributed blankets, dry food and essential supplies, hygiene kits, drinking water, and hot meals at several locations across Hassa, Hatay, and Kahramanmaras.
Human Aid Initiative’s Country Manager, Nurani Susilo, said: “We are deeply grateful to all our donors for enabling us to respond quickly and support those affected by the earthquake in Turkey. The scale of this disaster is immense, and it requires continued international support.”

The earthquake struck southern Turkey and northern Syria in the early hours of 6 February 2023, claiming at least 50,000 lives and destroying more than one million homes.
“As the emergency response phase comes to an end, the focus now shifts to providing temporary shelter. Continued support is essential to help communities in southern Turkey rebuild their lives,” Nurani added.
